Dated 1888 on bottom edge, most likely in relation to when commissioned by Adolphus Busch with the St. Louis Sewer Pipe Co. Anheuser-Busch eagle emblem embossed into the jug. Glazed lip. Has ribbing throughout the jug. No others are known to exist. Significant piece of St. Louis and brewery history. CONDITION: Only extremely minor wear, with no chips, cracks or restorations.

CORRECTION: Dated 1818 not 1888.
