ANTIQUE COIN OPERATED WOODEN CIGAR VENDING MACHINE
C: 1895. A rare and primitive cigar vending machine that vends one loose cigar for a nickel. Machine predates the 1905 law banning the vending of loose cigars without the original box. Oak construction, brass label spelling "Cigars." Coin entry and back door access to the coins. Deposit a nickel in the top, and the nickel will force the lever to trip, allowing one cigar stacked inside the machine to be dispensed into the tray. This machine was most likely given away with the purchase of cigars from the manufacturer. CONDITION: Complete and working, with key to the back door and top door to load product. Light wear, but overall a great example. Listed as Mystery #2 in "Silent Salesman Too" by Bill Enes, page 224.
