DSP. Maker mark "R-634." C. 1940s "Ask for Veedol Motor Oils" double-sided porcelain curb sign with "100% Pennsylvania Supreme Quality" logo. CONDITION: Side 1, has tremendous color and gloss throughout, with only minor areas of surface staining and minor fade to the gloss to note in the field. Sign also shows areas of porcelain loss at both left and right hanging holes and along the bottom edge of the piece. (9.0). Side 2, also has very vivid color and gloss, with an area of extremely minor fade to the black porcelain around the "Ask for" lettering. Sign also shows areas of very minor staining and paint overspray, as well as porcelain loss at the left and right hanging holes and in minor areas around the outer edge. (9.0). Overall, an outstanding displaying sign, highlighted by its vivid black and orange color.
