Ubu nakago signed in seven characters. Shingo-zukuri blade form with active choji temper line. Silver foil catscratch habaki. Fuchi with locking mechanism. Simple tsuba pierced with bird motif. Menuki in the form of dragons. Relatively plain fuchi and kashira with remants of gold line decoration. Wooden saya with leather wrapping. CONDITION: Very good, with blade lightly cleaned and leaving some darkened spotting and pinprick oxidation. Mounts are very good with a rich chocolate patina. Saya is very good with appropriate bumps and scrapes to leather from use. A nice example. EW
CORRECTION: Given the length of the blade, it is more appropriate to call the blade an o-wakizashi, with katana length mounts, saya being longer than blade.
