The two upturned flukes with central ridge measure 8", central blade measuring 12". Head measures 20 - 1/2". Short straps appear to be a later addition. CONDITION: Corseque is well forged throughout with swelled ridges showing great age with some exfoliation. Round shaft a later addition. 92 - 1/2" overall. A scarce form of polearm. PROVENANCE: FORMER COLLECTION OF THE NELSON-ATKINS MUSEUM OF ART.
