Last quarter 19th Century. American. Has a mirror frame with crenellated molded leaftip cornice above three beveled mirrors over a pair of candle shelves above a panel carved with entwined leafy branches, flanked by engaged half column supports. The rectangular rose marble top is on a conforming chest with three central molded and carved long drawers, each flanked by a bank of three short drawers. The case has recessed panel sides, the whole on a molded base. The lot includes a matching headboard. Secondary woods of bureau are maple and birdseye maple. Both have original surface with dark patina. Brasses are original, as are the mirror plates. The chest is in very good condition, but the headboard is reduced in height.
