Probably German, early 1900s, possibly from the Bavarian Arts & Crafts Institute which exhibited works based on famous sculptures and paintings. China shoulder head with molded gray fancy court lady hairdo with black ribbon in back, stroked eyebrows, painted gray eyes, pale lips with shading line, beautifully modeled face with thin cheeks, breastbone modeling on shoulder plate; cloth body with china lower arms having delicate and expressive fingers (index finger broken); original very elaborate silk and lace court lady fashion gown with silk rosettes and metallic braid (shredding and deterioration to silk), underwear, stockings and wonderful heeled leather shoes.
