An early Parmelee & Bonnell (P&B) double guard, fixed base, brass top bell bottom model with two 1871 patent dates stamped into the lid reflector. Has the characteristic serif font-style "BNY&P" letters found on early P&B lanterns, but this one is not hallmarked by the manufacturer. The fount is a standard two-tab Sangster plug-in type with a No. 1 Sangster shrouded burner. The 6" clear barrel style globe is embossed "F.O. Dewey" in the top rim and nicely etched "B.N.Y & P". Scale rating is 9.

Condition: (Near Mint).
