Fine quality cap featuring matching gold bullion oak leaf embroidery on the velvet cap band and black patent leather visor with a gold bullion eagle embroidered on the front. Gilt chin strap has rimmed eagle buttons. Interior crown displays gold embossed makers name "H.V. Allien & Co 734 Broadway New York". Housed in its original pasteboard box with exterior label also from Henry Allien. CONDITION: Exterior is in perfect condition showing no use or wear. Interior leather sweatband, black silk crown lining and green visor lining are also in perfect condition. Pasteboard box shows moderate wear. From the Ray Bentley collection.
