Attractive pair of British World War II Royal Air Force sweetheart wings contained in their original leather case with cloth interior marked "ASPREY / 166 BOND ST. / LONDON". Asprey is an England based designer, manufacturer, and retailer of jewelry and other goods which opened in 1781 and is still in business to this day. The wings measure approximately 2 - 1/4" and are secured with a pinback. The back of the wings is marked "15CT" on the crown. CONDITION: The wings remain vibrant with a slight patina from age. Pinback functions properly. Leather case opens and closes properly with functioning clasp. Lining exhibits slight staining and wear. Scattered blemishes to the leather. A very nice set of RAF wings that would have complimented the lapel of a wartime sweetheart.
