A classic New England Lantern. This model is beautifully marked "B&ARR" on the lid reflector and base in serif letters. There is no manufacturer's hallmark or patent dates on this one, but it is definitely NEG and has their characteristic center pinch base and circular lid latch spring. The base is secure and has a plastered-in glass fount that shows no cracks. Burner is a functioning No. 1 callender style. The clear globe is the standard New England barrel, nicely embossed "B&ARR" in serif letters in a rectangular panel; no significant rim chipping and no cracks. The lantern has a beautiful, smooth, age-earned patina with no rust. Scale rating 9.
