CARPENTER CAST IRON FIRE PATROL HORSE-DRAWN WAGON
C.1880-1890. F. W. Carpenter No. 55 Fire Patrol Wagon. Early American painted cast/malleable-iron two-horse fire patrol toy, with one black and one white galloping horse, red-painted wagon embossed “FIRE PATROL” to the sides, white-painted spoked wheels, three original seated firemen and replacement driver. Retains substantial early paint with age-appropriate wear, losses and oxidation.
Condition: (Very Good - Excellent).
