This wood carving dates to the 1920s, prior to when there were restrictions placed on the import of Chinese artifacts. A wonderful wood carving, showing the god of comedy riding atop a toad. CONDITION: The carving has very little signs of wear, with no breaks, cracks or repairs, an excellent example. PROVENANCE: From the lifelong collection of Bill Howard.
