A painted patriotic top advertising some Diamond Eye Cigar, this wooden top, stabilized by an iron harp, spins about when a coin is dropped in the slot & the lever activated. Most likely you were awarded with a cigar if the indicator stopped on red pin. An obscure counter game, one of only a handful known, and with early, simplistic cabinetry. Attributed to Brunhoff Mfg. Co. this is a fantastic and rarely found early gambling device with such a distinctive/individualized mechanism that was only used in this machine. Interestingly also, as opposed to normal entries to the interior of machines this piece has an access door that swings open on mid panel pins & locks with a skeleton key. A metal tag, patent applied for, is on the right side by the handle. Another remarkable, uncommon, striking machine from Ron`s collection! Circa 1899. Includes key.

Condition: (Very Good).
