SSP. SSP. A collection of 2 C. 1940s Prestone Anti-Freeze "You Are Safe...And You Know It" porcelain thermometer signs. CONDITION: (A) The sign has good color and gloss throughout. There are areas of surface staining and rust staining. The bottom and top grommets both have areas of porcelain loss, with the most noticeable damage at the top hanging hole. The sign is complete with an original wood cradle and thermometer bulb. The thermometer bulb is not currently working (8.0). (B) The sign has good color and gloss. Sign has areas of surface staining on both the inner and outer field. The sign shows minor porcelain loss around the outer edges, as well as both the top and bottom hanging holes. The thermometer is complete with an original wooden cradle and glass tube. The thermometer is not keeping an accurate temperature (8.75).
