An early, single guard Star model c. early 1890's, nicely marked "CVRR". The bayonet fount has brakeman's ("ice") spikes and fits snugly. There is a glass fount with No. 1, functioning ratchet burner. The clear, extended base No. 39 globe is a spectacular and scarce example. It is heavily embossed "CVRR" in a rectangular panel with strong lettering relief. The frame is tight and straight and is nickel plated. There is a copper plate with the railroader's name engraved, "B. A. Stone Georgia, VT". Scale rating is 9.
