Coin silver New York City fireman's trumpet with triple presentations. An exceptional trumpet with beautiful repousse of a landscape. Tassel holders are lion heads. The first presentation is to "Ringgold Hose Co. No. 7 of New York by Ringgold Hose. Co. No. 1 of Newburgh N.Y. October 17th 1859." The second presentation reads "Returned to the Donors by A.S. Pratt Last Foreman of Ringgold Hose Co. No. VII N.Y. October 1st, 1873". The final presentation was "Presented to C.M. Leonard Ex-Chief Engineer Fire Dept. Newburgh N.Y. by Ringgold Hose Co. No. 1. May 6th 1874". Chauncy M. Leonard was a former volunteer fireman in New York City. A truly historic piece. 40 toz. From the Ray Bentley Collection.
