C. 1880. A 7" cylinder music box, playing six tunes and has the serial number 5473. There is no maker's mark. It is housed in an inlayed walnut cabinet. CONDITION: There are areas of finish loss, scrapes and scuffs to the overall cabinet, consistent with age. The crank wind operation is smooth with great tone quality. There are no breaks or repairs to the comb. There is some repair to the on/off switch will be required. It has the original tune card on the inside lid.
