This early Girod cylinder music box dates to 1850. It has a 10 - 1/2" cylinder playing six tunes. The bed plate is clearly marked for Ducommun. It has the original tune card and is key wind operation. CONDITION: The music box is a clean basswood case with painted lid, showing some scuffs and scrapes due to age and handling. The lid does not close completely. The comb shows no breaks or repairs and has some oxidation, as do the brass interior components. Serial No. 11330.
