1920 - 1930. Central Persia. This example is beautifully designed with four delicate interwoven groups of floral vinery on a floral filled ivory field. All within delicate arabesque pale celadon-green spandrels at the corners. The ivory main border of scrolling vinery and lotus blossoms within a total of six floral polychrome guard stripes. The outer guard border of crenellated design on a chartreuse ground. The soft palette of this carpet is outstanding. The carpet retains good even pile throughout. We observe no bleeding or running of colors, no staining or insect damage. Rug is supple throughout.
