The 14" blade with elaborate Choji temper line. The tang is uncut with one hole and a five character Tadakni signature unquestionably genuine and beautiful hawk feather file marks. Plain copper habaki. The scabbard and handle elaborately carved in high relief with dragons with inset pearl eyes. CONDITION: Blade is stained but not pitted. Temper line clearly visible. One tiny chip at point and a fragment missing from the very tip of point. The tang has lovely patination and no rust. Scabbard is excellent, as is the handle. A very fine Japanese sword.
