This patriotic lithograph depicts Uncle Sam, sitting on a chair amongst a sea of newspapers based in different cities such as Detroit and Washington. Within the framed portion of the depiction, the headline of the newspaper reads “The Nation's Sanatorium Hot Springs, Arkansas. Under The Management of Uncle Sam M.D.” Most legible newspapers in the lithograph are dated during the late 1800s. There is a makers mark of “Woodward & Tiernan Prtg Co. St. Louis” on the bottom left corner. Minor toning throughout the lithograph, a striking example of patriotic advertising.
