Cast bronze sculpture after American artist Frederic Remington on marble base with brass name plaque. Filled with dramatic movement, this bronze sculpture depicts a muscled horse rearing up, frightened at the sight of a rattlesnake. The rider, a cowboy holding his hat with his right hand, is absorbing the horse's recoil with his own body. This bronze rests on a marble base measuring 16" high x 14" wide. "Rattlesnake" was one of Remington's most popular pieces and has been described as Remington's personal favorite sculpture. CONDITION: Excellent. BRM.
