Commission for a French captain signed by King Louis XV of France and countersigned by Minister of War Etienne-Francois de Choiseul. The document measures approximately 19" x 11 - 1/2" and features a large wax seal at bottom right corner. Edge wear with staining. Ink exhibits fading but remains legible. Fold lines, with tape reinforcement at wax seal. CONDITION: Good. This commission is former Dr. John K. Lattimer Collection and comes with a James Spence Authentication Full Letter of Authenticity.
