FUCHI KASHIRA SIGNED MASATSUNE WITH DESIGNS OF PLUM TREE AND SAMURAI

Signed "Masatsune (Kao)" on fuchi. The fuchi on a shakudo base with a fine nanako ground with a carved relief of a plum tree overhanging a sign, accented with gold. Measures 3.7cm x 2.2cm x 1.3cm. The kashira measures 3.3cm x 1.6cm x 1cm (over the relief), and depicts a fully armed and armored samurai with his bow on a fine nanako ground, his armor and weaponry accented in gold. Housed in a paulownia wood kiri box. CONDITION: Excellent, with some minor handling marks and rubs from age, as expected.
