Early to mid 18th century. This finely forged example with early black painted surfaces. The square to round tapering standard with reel and compressed ball details and conforming brass finial. The tapering down-swept tripod base, terminating in large penny feet. The spring loaded rectangular height adjustment cage with notched candle arms, dish drip pans, cleated folded edge slotted candle cups. Fine patina throughout, excellent untouched original surface. No repairs or restoration noted.
