Late Han or Six Dynasties. China. The small rooster with traces of iridescent glass and paint decoration including the eyes. Stylized and sculpted with elongated neck and pronounced comb. Offered on a small display stand. Repair to neck and losses to feet. Surface worn. This lot is accompanied by a copy of the purchase receipt by Ching Tsai Loo Galleries dated 1950. Provenance: The estate collection of Lucy Kennedy and Elisa Miller by descent to the current owner.
