This exact bait is pictured in The Heddon Legacy on page 70. According to the authors, the bait dates to 1905 or before and is too rare for them to have placed a value on it. Since the writing of that book, one or two others have surfaced, further legitimizing this important piece of Heddon history. The bait is finished in Red Head Aluminum, has no belly cup, and wears a friction-fit aluminum collar held in by 2 pins. It grades Very Good or better with a few rubs and agelines.
