Clipped signature of American poet and educator Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. The signature is part of a letter fragment that reads "of me, I remain, Dear Sir yours faithfully Henry W. Longfellow. The fragment is matted and framed with the envelope that is addressed to the Dean of Canterbury. Measures 15" x 11 - 1/2" and exhibits creases and areas of soiling. Writing remains legible with some fading. The signature is accompanied by a James Spence Authentication Full Letter of Authenticity. CONDITION: Good.
