HIGH FOREHEAD HEDDON 100 IN WOOD BOX

Circa 1905 example in Green Crackleback finish and still retaining the brass cups and screw eyes with the nickel-plated props. Two belly weight model with two sweeping gills. Solid glass eyes and non-nickel-plated hooks. Very Good Plus condition on this very scarce early minnow. The rare wooden box is transitional between Type III and Type IV, having the exclamation point after “HUNG”, but NOT having the word “NEW” in the title and “Michigan” appearing to the left of “SON”. No markings are legible on the box ends and there is some staining at the bottom.
