IRISH REGISTERED CANNON.

Cast bronze construction with dolphin form lifting handles, tube in five sections with raised rings between each section and a heavily swamped muzzle. Marked "U.S" on left side with several smaller "US" and what appear to be flaming bombs (?, indistinct), right side with "NT 3035" for North Tipperary. US marking appears to be much later. Cascabel has been cut on the vertical, and punched along the horizontal, right side plugged. On a pintle mount with a threaded chamber support that can be used to adjust for elevation. CONDITION: Brass has toned throughout with scattered handling marks and darkness, some legends have been accented with white infill. Pintle essentially oxidized throughout, but threads appropriately. Touch hole has been welded closed.
