Measures 23 - 7/8" from tip of kissaki to munemachi. Form is a little ambiguous due to polish, but remnants of what looks like a yokote with a somewhat longer kissaki than a chu-kissaki but no quite o-kissaki, would make the sword shinogi zukuri. Iori mune. Nakago with kiri yasurime, kiri nakagojiri. Silver foil wrapped habaki. Kaku gata tsuba with a nice scene of a pagoda on a mountain overlooking two boats approaching the coast on one side, and a nature scene on the other. Tsuka has no fuchi, kashira, or tsuka-ito. Several panels of same of various textures. Wood saya with horizontal lacquered strips. CONDITION: Blade is out of polish with mossing, surface scratches, and a few spots of ware. Tsuba has an even patina with flashes of gunmetal grey. Same has numerous areas of chips and lifting throughout. Saya with numerous chips and missing sections of lacquer.
