French bisque socket head incised “Jumeau 1938 Paris” presented to Princess Elizabeth, now Queen Elizabeth II of England, in 1938 by the French government and one also for her sister. The delightful character face features multistroked eyebrows, flirty eyes with real upper lashes, painted lower lashes and closed mouth with differently shaded lips, and original human hair wig. Head appears perfect but wig not removed as curls would likely be destroyed. Original excellent French composition and wood body with original finish. Wearing vintage cotton dress and pinafore with original shoes and stockings. What a beautiful example!
CORRECTION: Wig has been removed to show a hairline from side front of forehead curving to the side back.
