Sterling Silver Tea Kettle with Stand and Burner by John Newton Mappin of London's famed luxury retailer MAPPIN & WEBB. Fully signed, hallmarked and dated on the teapot, the base and the bottom of the burner. Maker's mark: "JNM". Sterling Silver (.925/1000) Standard mark: "LION". London City mark: "LEOPARD'S HEAD". 1895 Year/Date mark: "U" in crest. Overall height measures 11-1/4" to top of wooden handle. Gross weight is 36.9 troy ounces. Both the pegs and the hinged lid are in 100% working condition and the burner's wick appears to be unused.
