64.3cm nagasa (approximately 25 - 3/8") of classic shinogi zukuri form with Mino sanbunsugi temper line. Brass habaki. Nakago with takanoha yasurime, a single mekugi-ana, kuri jiri, and signed on the omote "(Showa stamp) Noshu Seki Ju Takayama Yoshinao Saku" (trans. Made by Takayama Yoshinao of Seki City, Noshu Province). Cast tsuba depicting florals. Plain brass fuchi, brown woven tsuka-ito with iron chrysanthemum menuki, and brass kabuto-gane. Roiro saya covered in what appears to be liquid chalk. CONDITION: Blade is out of polish but clean, with surface scratching throughout, a line of delamination in the shinogi on the right side, and some small chips along the cutting edge around the monouchi. Mounts with handling marks, tsuba rim essentially silvered, and some ae appropriate rubbing, most noticeable to tsuka-ito.
