Classic circa 1890 Steiner child doll with bisque socket head incised "J.STEINER BTE S.G.D.G. PARIS FI RE A19". She has blue-grey paperweight eyes, evenly arched multi-stroke eyebrows, finely painted lashes, closed mouth, well defined ears with pierced lobes, on the original composition French body, fully jointed with straight wrists, bearing a blue stamp on the left front torso reading "Le Petit Parisian Bébé Steinder MEDAILLE T'OR PARIS 1889". She wears a pale green and gold antique dress with lace collar, a dark brown human hair wig over the cardboard Steiner pate, as well as antique red leather children's shoes. Some typical slight wear to finish on body, although body finish is original.
