LARGE LOT OF: FRED HARMAN EPHEMERA, DRAWINGS, POSTERS AND TWO FIREARMS
Large grouping related to the western artist Fred Harman. Frederick "Fred" Harman (February 9, 1902 – January 2, 1982) was an American cartoonist, best known for his popular Red Ryder comic strip, which he drew for 25 years, reaching 40 million readers through 750 newspapers. Harman was one of the original 1965 members of the Cowboy Artists of America and was a past director of the organization. Included is two 19th century revolvers by Johnson's cycle works, and Forehand Arms Co. respectively, commemorative tokens, buckles, Red Ryder comic strips, ledger records kept by Harman of paintings that he sold, postcards, Misc. Red Ryder BB gun ephemera, posters, (CAA) Cowboy Artists of America pamphlets, Daisy air rifle advertising, photos, etc. CONDITION: Very good.
