LARGE SIZE ORIGINAL RABBIT CHOCOLATE MOLD

Impressive large-scale figural chocolate mold in the form of a standing rabbit, constructed of multiple sections of formed and embossed metal. The highly detailed mold features deeply modeled fur, oversized upright ears, dimensional facial features, front paws and a substantial pedestal-form base. The mold is assembled from numerous fitted sections with visible seams, hinges, retaining rings and fastening points designed to allow the mold to be opened and the finished hollow chocolate figure removed. An unusually large and visually striking confectioner’s mold with wonderful sculptural presence. Surface shows age-related oxidation, discoloration, scratches and wear consistent with its utilitarian history.
