Manufactured only from 1872-1874. Chambered for the .44 S&W Russian cartridge. Single action top break. Features an 8" barrel. Top of the barrel is marked Russian model. Blued finish. Walnut grips. One of the first big bore cartridge revolvers ever to be manufactured. Very popular on the western frontier. All metal surfaces are basic patina with traces of color on the hammer. Has very good walnut stocks. There is a plug for the lanyard ring. This model was used by noted outlaw, John Wesley Hardin. Strong rifled bore. Cylinder indexes fine.
