This is a very early cast iron and metal ice shaver by the Lippencott Company. This was originally sold in the late 1800's for $25.00. This particular example is missing the lid as well as the internal crank: however; the cast iron base is complete and marked for the Lippencott Snow-Drift Ice Shaver. Great example of and early soda fountain piece.
