Lot consists of: (A) USMC officers mameluke sword with scabbard contained in leather carrying case. The sword is identified to career Marine Percy L. Smith, whose career spanned from April 20, 1918 to April 30, 1964. Smith lied about his age and two months after turning 16, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He started at the lowest possible enlisted rank for a US Marine at the time, apprentice. This was in essence a civilian in uniform, with an obligation, and rudimentary training striking for a pay grade rank. Smith rose to the highest possible rank short of a commission. The blade measures 32" and features acid etched ornate and patriotic USMC designs. The sword is acid etched on the blade to Percy L. Smith. The blade remains bright and the sword has a crossed hilt made of faux ivory, featuring golden finish ornamental mounts. There is a crack in the hilt. CONDITION: Very good. Also included is his pinback H&H IMPERIAL marked gunner insignia. (B) World War II Marine Corps issue bolo knife and scabbard. The blade is marked "U.S.M.C. / CHATILLON, N.Y." The blade is bright with factory edge and only light scabbard wear. The scabbard is stamped to reverse "USMC / BOYT / 43". CONDITION: Very good. (C) World War II Marine Corps issue bolo knife and scabbard. The blade is marked "U.S.M.C. / BRIDDEL." The has a gray patina and exhibits pitting. The scabbard is stamped to reverse "USMC / BOYT / 45". CONDITION: Good. (D) World War II Marine Corps issue bolo knife scabbard. The scabbard is stamped to reverse "USMC / BOYT / 45". The leather remains pliable. CONDITION: Good. (E) World War II PAL fighting knife and scabbard marked "RH PAL 35" on the ricasso. The blade has a gray patina and exhibits the name "Fox" which was etched in theatre. CONDITION: Good. (F) KA-BAR knife and USN marked scabbard. The knife is marked "KA-BAR / OLEAN / NY". The blade has a gray patina and exhibits pitting. CONDITION: Good. (G) KA-BAR knife and scabbard marked "U.S. / CONETTA" on the ricasso. The blade retains its original finish. CONDITION: Very good. (H) KA-BAR knife and scabbard marked "U.S. / CAMILLUS" on the ricasso. The blade retains its parkerized finish. CONDITION: Very good. (I) KA-BAR knife and scabbard marked "U.S. / CAMILLUS N.Y." on the ricasso. The blade retains its parkerized finish. CONDITION: Good. (J) KA-BAR knife leather scabbard. CONDITION: Good. JLD
