Lincoln County, 1876, arrest warrant for Stephen Stanley for "carrying deadly weapons" in connection with his shooting spree during the Harrell War; signed for Saturnino Baca, Sherriff, by his Deputy. The second document is a request for the retrial of Stanley, signed by Attorney S. B. Newcomb for himself and Alexander McSween as defense attorneys. Stanley prevailed and later served as a Regulator under Alex McSween.
