This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 1/26/2024
a) Lincoln County, 1876, Howell War; lawyer Alexander McSween signature with signature of Charles Fritz guaranteeing a $500 bond for release from jail of Stephen Lloyd. 10" x 8" and framed to 15 1/2" x 13 1/2".
b) An arrest warrant for Lloyd for "intent to murder" signed by Sherriff Baca. (The bond of $500 is designated on the arrest warrant.) 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and framed to 10 3/4" x 14".

Ironically, Lloyd later became a member of the Murphy-Dolan Faction and may have been present when McSween and four other Regulators were killed on July 19, 1878. Rare piece with McSween's signature.
