Lot consists of (A) Composite European sword with an unfullered slightly curved blade. Cast brass double clamshell guard with separate "S" shaped bar with quillon on top and bottom. Stag grip with brass ferrule at base and brass pommel cap. Complete with an original brown leather scabbard with brass mounts and hanger. CONDITION: Blade retains a dark heavy brown patina. Guard and brass retain a pleasing dark mustard patina. Scabbard is original, but last 6 inches have been replaced. Some components do not appear to have great age. (B) Composite European hunting sword. Slightly curved unfullered blade with deep oval makers mark on each side of a helmeted soldier. Cast and chased brass guard with a figure and floral scrolls. Stag grip with brass pommel cap chased with cherubs. CONDITION: Blade retains a dark heavy brown patina with some pitting. Guard retains a mellow mustard patina, age uncertain. DMG
