Lot #3344:
LOT OF 2: GERMAN WWII KRIEGSMARINE OFFICER TUNIC AND VISOR CAP.
Lot contains: (A) German WWII Kriegsmarine "Oberleutnant" tunic made from a high quality dark blue wool with very light wear and no visible damage. The tailor label "Niewman & Lappe, Kiel" is present inside the collar area, and another matching tailor label is inside the inner left pocket. The officer's name is handwritten on the label with a date, but both are illegible. Tunic is lined in black rayon, with only one small spot of damage. Gold bullion eagle and rank insignia are original to the tunic. All the buttons are original to the uniform, which also includes a vest made from the same high quality of wool with smaller buttons. CONDITION: Overall excellent. (B) Kriegsmarine officer visor cap with late-war Celleon eagle and wreath, with a metal cockade. Cap body and center band exhibit only light wear and staining. Visor braid appears to be Celleon as well, and blue wool top has light wear. Chin cord an visor have crazing. Sweatband, celluloid center, lining exhibit staining and damage. Cap is named, but is not the same name as the tunic. CONDITION: Overall very good.
