Lot contains: (A) Model 1902 full dress staff officer's cap with gold bullion leaves directly embroidered on the leather visor, gold chin strap, rimless eagle side buttons and direct embroidered gold bullion eagle. Black wool body is in excellent condition with no wear or damage. Interior supple-leather sweatband is tightly sewn to the body, black satin crown lining embossed with makers name "Harding Boston". CONDITION: Excellent. (B) Model 1902 General officer's dress cap with gold bullion leaves directly embroidered onto the cap band and eagle onto the front. Gold chin strap with Indian Wars staff side buttons. CONDITION: While the black wool body is slightly misshapen, it is free of holes or defects. The underside of the leather visor exhibits general crazing and the leather sweatband is partially detached and exhibits wear. The black polished cotton crown lining is intact with remains of a makers logo. From the Ray Bentley Collection.
