Lot consists of (A) A silver-hilted small sword with two "GF" or "GP" hallmarks. Straight double-edged blade with tapering center flats on both sides. Solid silver hilt with ball pommel and pierced counter guard on right side marked "GP" or "GF" in a sunken oval with serrated edges, near intersection with knucklebow. Marked the same on left side where bow intersects with pommel. CONDITION: Silver shows a few scattered minor marks from use, mostly pleasing pewter patina. Blade retains a brown patina. (B) Iron-mounted infantry sword with un-fullered American-manufactured blade. Heavy iron guard with shaped quillon. Small iron two-stage pommel. Plain walnut grip. CONDITION: Some nicks to cutting edge, brown spotted patina. Hilt with a matching patina. Grip shows some minor chips and cracks. A nice American fighting sword.
