Lot consists of: A) Custom western spur straps featuring stamped basketweave designs and large white enamel and brass conchos with silver engraved buckles. Maker stamped on the strap: F. SCHULTZ / VICTOR MONT. B) Custom made spur straps featuring carved floral motifs with brass studs on the bottom edge and large hand engraved silver horse head conchos. Maker stamped on the strap: F. SCHULTZ / VICTOR MONT. FRANK SCHULTZ, and marked on the conchos: F. SCHULTZ. Schultz is a contemporary western artisan and bit maker, from Victor, Montana. He was born in North Hollywood, California, and moved to Australia in the late 1970s to work as a stockman and bush pilot in the Northwest Territory. Frank and his family returned to the United States 13 years later, where he attended the Elmer Miller School of Bit and Spur Making before opening his own shop in Victor, Montana, in 1991 – where he lives and works today. CONDITION: Excellent and supple and useable.
