LOT OF 2: US CIVIL WAR MODEL 1860 CAVALRY SABERS.

Lot consists of: (A) Civil War Model 1860 cavalry saber marked "U.S. / 1864 / A.G.M." on obverse ricasso and C. ROBY / W. CHELMSFORD / MASS." on reverse ricasso. Blade exhibits a gray patina throughout with scattered freckling and blemishes. Brass 3-band guard with nice patina. Center swelled, grooved wood grip with leather wrap and tight brass wire. Grip exhibits scuffs and blemishes on high wear areas. Complete with plated scabbard that exhibits scattered blemishes and patina. CONDITION: Good. (B) Civil War Model 1860 cavalry saber marked "U.S. / J.M. / 1864" on the obverse ricasso and EMERSON / & / SILVER / TRENTON / N.J." on reverse ricasso. Blade exhibits an older polishing with scattered blemishes and patina. Brass 3-band guard with nice patina. Center swelled, grooved wood grip with leather wrap and brass wire. Complete with scabbard that exhibits a dark patina over an older cleaning. CONDITION: Good.
