Nickel plated brass crossguard and pommel. The blade remains bright with scattered blemishes and edge wear around the tip. Nice light patina throughout. The knife comes with two scabbards, a Type I and Type II example. The Type I scabbard is marked "WATERVLIET ARSENAL" and inspector initials "C.H." and "C.M." on the leather belt hanger. The Type II Scabbard is marked "ROCK ISLAND / ARSENAL / W.T.G." and inspector initials "R.H.S." on reverse. Brass belt hanger is marked "R.I.A.". Both scabbards remain supple with scattered blemishes. CONDITION: Very good.
